Doctor Who was offered to Canada in early 1965, but the series was dropped after only 26 episodes. It wasn't until 1976 that Canada picked up the series again.
In 1972, the United States was sold a 72-episode package of stories, via Time Life Films, which didn't really set the world on fire. But six years later in 1978, Time Life Television distributed episodes starring an actor by the name of Tom Baker...
